New in Our Fleet: A Tractor for Faster, Cleaner Excavation and Septic-Field Digging
We’re excited to share an upgrade that makes a real difference for our customers: Dnipro Plumbing now owns a tractor for digging and excavation work. Until now, larger digs often meant coordinating outside equipment. Bringing that capability in-house lets us control the whole job from diagnosis to backfill — and it means faster scheduling and better results for you. Here’s what it changes.
What does having your own tractor actually change for me?
Three things, mostly. First, scheduling: we’re no longer waiting on a third party’s calendar to dig, so we can get to your repair sooner. Second, quality: the same licensed crew that diagnoses the problem now does the excavation, so nothing gets lost in translation between companies. Third, cost: handling excavation ourselves removes a layer of subcontracting markup from many jobs.
What kinds of work does the tractor help with?
It’s built for the heavier digging our work often requires: excavating and replacing failed septic fields, digging down to a saturated or collapsed field for repair, trenching for new septic and sewer lines, site preparation, grading, and backfilling once the repair is done. Pairing the tractor with our camera inspections means we dig exactly where the problem is — not a metre to either side.
Will digging tear up my whole yard?
That’s the worry we hear most, and it’s exactly why owning the equipment matters. Because we plan the dig around a camera inspection and run the machine ourselves, we keep excavation as targeted as possible and restore the site properly when we’re finished. Controlled, precise digging means less lawn to repair and a tidier job overall.
Can you still get to difficult Interlake properties?
Yes. A lot of the work we do is on rural and acreage properties around the Interlake where access and soft, saturated ground are real challenges. Owning our equipment means we can plan each job for the conditions on your property rather than whatever a rental happened to be available that week.
Does this mean you handle a septic field replacement start to finish?
It does. From the first camera inspection and diagnosis, through permits, excavation, pipe and field work, pump or distribution-box replacement, testing, and final site restoration — it’s one licensed team and one point of accountability. No finger-pointing between a plumber and a separate excavation contractor if something needs adjusting.
